City Park Project - Linn Grove School Memorial
Back to Linn
Grove Projects
Background of the Project
The park was established on
property vacated when the former Sioux Valley School
Building in Linn Grove Iowa was
dismantled following construction of the new Sioux Central
School just south of Sioux
Rapids, IA.
The Linn Grove City Council and newly
appointed Park Board planting the
first linden tree at the City Park in 2000.
The tree
was donated by the Linn Grove
mayor and city council members
at that time. Three more linden trees were
donated and planted, along with shrubbery, in
preparation for a park area.
