Council meeting was held on February 9, 2005 at the Linn Grove Community Center
at 7:00 p.m.
Mayor Graesing called the meeting to order.
Members present: Weier, Ellis, Wadsley, Smith,
Jurgensen.
Members absent: None.
In attendance: None.
Moved by Ellis to adopt the agenda. Seconded by
Jurgensen. Motion carried.
Moved by Jurgensen to approve previous meeting
minutes as read from January 12, 2005. Seconded by Weier. Motion carried.
Old Business.
Abate Nuisance Update. Parcel #02-07-276-013 has
complied. New Business. Approval of Bills. Moved by
Ellis to approve all bills as presented. Seconded by Smith. Motion carried. General Garbage Sewer Park Board Report. None. Library Board Report. None. Maintenance Report. Council
was informed that the automatic water control panel at the pump house has been
repaired. City Clerk Report. Set
2005/2006 Budget Hearing. The proposed 2005/2006 Budget was discussed. Moved
by Smith to accept the 2005/2006 Budget. Seconded by Ellis. Motion carried.
Moved by Ellis to set public hearing for fiscal year 2005/2006 Budget for March
9, 2005 at 7:10 p.m. Seconded by Jurgensen. Motion carried. Class C Beer
Permit & Sunday Sales Privilege Request. Moved by Wadsley to approve Class C
Beer Permit & Sunday Sales Privilege to J & K Dam Bait Shop (Jim & Kathy
Vanderhoff). Seconded by Jurgensen. Motion carried. Moved by Weier to accept
building permit request from Jud Graesing for a 40’x60’ building located at 200
Weaver Street Linn Grove. The cost of the permit is $50. Seconded by
Jurgensen. Motion carried. Announcements-Open Forum.
Mayor Graesing reported to Council regarding the Buena Vista County Assessors &
Emergency Management Budget for upcoming 2005/2006 fiscal year. The Mayor
serves as a representative of the City on these boards. Moved by Smith to adjourn.
