Main        July 2005 Minutes        September 2005 Minutes   The Linn Grove Regular City Council Meeting was held at the Linn Grove Community Center on August 10, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. Mayor Graesing called the meeting to order. Members present: Jurgensen, Wadsley, Smith, Ellis. Members absent: Weier. In attendance: None. Adopt the Agenda.  Moved by Jurgensen to adopt the agenda.  Seconded by Smith.  All ayes.  Motion carried. Approve Previous Meeting Minutes.  Moved by Ellis to approve previous meeting minutes as read from July 20, 2005.  Seconded by Jurgensen.  All ayes.  Motion carried.   Old Business. Park Plaque.  Clerk informed Council that a temporary laminated list of gazebo donors and school monument donors is up by the gazebo for public inspection.   New Business. Approval of Bills and Financial Reports.  Moved by Smith to approve Clerk/Treasurer’s Financial Reports and all bills as presented with the exception that the Linn Grove Community Enhancement Foundation pay ½ the billing $51.50 to the City of Sioux Rapids for mosquito spraying.  Seconded by Wadsley.  All ayes.  Motion carried.   General   Water   Garbage   Alliant 267.25 Alliant 297.41 Arny Grow 800.00 BV Co. Park Board Report.  Clerk informed Council that there was a $150 memorial to be used at the school monument park.  The memorial money will help defray cost of purchasing block to finish pathway. Maintenance Report.  Street Finance Report-Resolution 2005-8.  Moved by Ellis to adopt Resolution 2005-8, a Resolution approving the Street Finance Report for year ending June 30, 2005.  Seconded by Jurgensen.  A roll call vote was taken with the voting as follows: Smith-Aye, Jurgensen-Aye, Ellis-Aye, Wadsley-Aye.  Approval of Hiring Meter Reader.  Moved by Wadsley to approve Mayor Graesing hiring Sara Fassler to read water meters in conjunction with cleaning the community center for $65 a month.  Seconded by Ellis.  All ayes.  Motion carried.  Moved by Jurgensen to authorize Mayor Graesing to purchase snow blade for John Deere mower.  Seconded by Wadsley.  All ayes.  Motion carried.  Moved by Wadsley to approve hiring Jud Graesing for cleaning up City brush pile.  Seconded by Ellis.  All ayes.  Motion carried.  City Clerk Report.  Election 2005.  Clerk informed Council that she would put the nomination petitions for City Office at the First State Bank for signatures.   Announcements-Open Forum.  None.   Moved by Smith to adjourn.  Seconded by Wadsley.  Time 7:40 p.m.
