Main       July 2006       September  2006 The Linn Grove Regular City Council Meeting was held at the Linn Grove Community Center on August 10, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. Mayor Smith called the meeting to order. Members present: Ellis, Nelson, Weier, Jurgensen, Hicks. Member absent: None. In attendance: None. Adopt the Agenda.  Moved by Nelson to adopt the agenda.  Seconded by Hicks .  All ayes.  Motion carried. Approve Previous Meeting Minutes.  Moved by Ellis to approve previous meeting minutes as read from July 13, 2006.  Seconded by Nelson .  All ayes.  Motion carried. General - $   Water - $   Garbage $   SEWER - $ RUT: - $ RECEIPTS - Old Business.  Ellis informed Council that she purchased a frame for the gazebo showing a list of donors. New Business.  Approval of Bills and Clerk/Treasurer/s Reports.  Moved by Hicks to approve all bills as presented and clerk/treasurer’s reports.  Seconded by Nelson .  All ayes.  Motion carried. Library Board Report.  None. Maintenance Report.  Street Finance Report.  Moved by Jurgensen to approve Resolution 2006-16, a Resolution approving the annual Street Finance Report for year ending June 30, 2006.  Seconded by Ellis .  A roll call vote was taken with voting as follows: Jurgensen-Aye, Weier-Aye, Nelson-Aye, Hicks-Aye, Ellis-Aye.  Linn Grove Fire Department will be washing streets on downtown Weaver Street on August 15th.  Hicks informed Council that he met with BV County Engineer, Jon Ites and Tom French regarding repairs coming down Weaver Street.  Council members will be attending a BV County Board of Supervisors meeting to find out more details regarding this issue.  Bluff Street Bridge project will begin August 14, 2006 and last for 6 weeks.  The road will be closed for that time period.  Council discussed policy of tree removal and placement of planting new trees on City property vs. property owners’ property.  Residents need to seek permission from the City before planting trees or bushes on City property. City Clerk Report.  Noise Variance Request.  Moved by Ellis that a noise variance request be granted to Riverside Presbyterian Church for a church revival located on Church Street Linn Grove starting on August 18, 19, & 20th, 2006 with variance ending at 10:00 p.m. each night.  Seconded by Jurgensen .  All ayes. Motion carried. Announcements-Open Forum.  Jurgensen informed Council of an interested buyer of the City’s empty building site located on Weaver Street.  Mayor and Council further discussed the contract between L.G.
